Save the Date - Nov. 14, 2017
Don't forget to mark your calendars for Tuesday, Nov. 14, 7 PM - the MUSL Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Commonwealth Club, 30088 Dequindre Rd., Warren MI 48092. As usual, there will be plenty of pizza (even vegetarian-type for those of you so inclined) and one drink ticket per attendee (cash bar after the first one). You're welcome to bring along your alternate manager, and club "presidents" are encouraged to have a manager from each team in attendance. We often find that when one person represents 3 or 4 teams, the information needed doesn't always make its way to the individual managers. There is a $25 fine for failure to attend. Unlike some other leagues, the MUSL only has 2 required meetings per year (one in the spring and the AGM in the fall). We don't think this is a lot to ask, and you get to spend an enjoyable evening with your fellow managers. If, for some reason, you cannot make the meeting, please make sure your alternate manager attends. The MUSL Board
By the end of this week, I will be sending out invoices to team managers who have outstanding gamesheets (older than 10 days). At this time, around 19 teams are derelict in this regard. If you're not sure that you are one of them, go to your schedule. If any of your home games do not have an "A" (for Approved) next to them, we have not received your game sheet(s). To save yourself $50 per instance, try to find them (even if you only have the Pink/Yellow copies. You may even take a picture with your phone or scan them in and send them. Or, you might try contacting the Opposing Team manager, and ask if he has copies. The League isn't interested in your $50. We want and need the gamesheets. See the July 7 announcement for the reasons why these are important. Thanks, Larry
It has come to my attention that there are a lot of managers that aren't aware of their ability to post their own stats. This is my fault that I haven't made this known to all of the managers. To post your stats, go to the schedule and select the game that you just played, and after you've posted your score, select Statistics and then select Edit. When you've finished adding your stats, select save changes. When the Game Sheets come into the office, the Statistician will check the stats for accuracy and make changes if necessary and Approve the stats. Next year this will be mandatory.
